Some people say that cats are sneaky, evil and cruel. True, and they have many other fine qualities as well.

Actually a good mate of mine now lives in Maastricht with his good lady. I need to see about paying them a visit at some point.

Whether you're in The Hague or Amsterdam, it'll be very hard to find just one clear-thinking person over there, and if you find one it's usually an emigrated Groninger :-P

Tis *quite* a bit chavvy nowadays to be a 'gabbertje' in nl (or well, since 1995 or so, that is..)
I've been a gabbertje (well, a bit unconventional one) too, back when it was a rather uncommon music :-)

@Speelgoedmannetje:

I was never "dressing" like a gabber-head past the age of...17 I think. Afterwards, I was more normal looking, but of course still to this day I listen to gabber and hardcore techno. I like it due to its simplicity, yet power and energy. It's definitely not mainstream music by ANY means, except maybe in Holland, as you guys over there are hardcore pioneers. :-)

I guess I was kinda the same as you, x56h34 :-)
But nowadays, Hardcore has been copied over and over and over again with mindnumbing cliche's. I quitted it at the age of 16 or 17 when I had to reckognise that the music was hijacked by neo-nazi's and chavs of the worst kind, and there won't be any good (inspirating, experimental) hardcore anymore. I've heard it all, twas good music to survive puberty, but that's it. Got other music nowadays.

Excuses excuses, eh?
No one's gonna live there voluntarily and has no tendencies towards limbo-ism!

@Speelgoedmannetje:

I agree. The "new stuff" simply doesn't have the same impact on me as it did during the "early days", however there's still lots of old-school gold that I can listen to over and over, with the addition of an occassional good new track.

@glock/speel:

What about sunday evening in O'Caelleigh's? Usually there's some cool jamming going on there round dinnertime on sunday.

Cool stuff, I'd be all for not keeping it to a civilised closingtime, that way I might actually get some studying done mondaymorning :-).

How does 1900 sound for meeting up?
