I am not vouching for the guy, just that I did business with him a while ago and had no real problem.  That is not to say he has not been a pain to others.  Honestly I did not know Doomy was Spenceranne until well after I got my scsi board.

I love how his "Item Picture" is one of Apache's renders.  (ie. not the item he's selling, and not even a picture at all)
Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

Looks like he's using a computer generated A500 picture (maybe from the AO picture gallery?). I bet also that he puts his face on his auctions to get AO attention which causes lots of free publicity and increases that counter thing.

@amigamad

Wow that's a cool and scary site. I plugged my id in for fun..... I'm cool  :-D
As for spencer, I've seen worse than 95% before, it's not a horrid record. But I wouldn't want to be in the 5%. Checking a few of the auctions, it seems he/she is fast to pay, but slow to ship.

He used to buy from me on occasion with no problem. Then one day out of the blue came the coarse insults and profanity. He's on the blocked bidder list now. There's been a few threads here and on Atari forums about products never received... Buyer beware i suppose..

BTW - weirdami is spot on. He's getting exactly the attention he wants... Kind of a trap aint it? Lose if you mention it, lose if you ignore it.
Someone has to state the obvious and that someone is me!

Thanx for the warning, reading the feedback tells me all i want to know about him.

Notice that he tells you NOTHING about the A500 he's selling - chipset and what comes with it.

I wonder if this dude actually does have customers or what he really does for a living. And what is this Class IV electronics engineer he is talking about? I am an engineer and am allowed to work on medical equipment. I can even replace surface mounted devices if needed. Am I class IV now? If I am it is not that special. You need; a steady hand, ESD (electro static discharge) proof environment, a magnifying glass and good (de-)soldering tools. (But my usual task is software designing.)

He ahas never explained the "class IV electronics engineer" deal. If you ask him any questions he reacts as if insulted.  It is as if I decided I was a "Double Nought Spy". You can't argue with that it's not something real.

Things I have seen him say in messages indicate he is not at all technically inclined. more of the vacuum the filters and reseat everything crowd.

@Doppie1200

I even saw someone claiming that the PowerFlyer ZIV was a rare item; an item which still can be bought! Furthermore I saw an Amiga 500 advertised as rare because the hdd that followed the A500 was a 550 MB one...

The only items you can classify as rare IMHO is stuff like prototypes, special boards as the AmiJoe card for A1200, Viper/Apollo 630, Bodega Bay, etc.

Since then I have acquired customers that will only allow me to touch or work on their computers.  They tell me that my work is the best that they have ever seen and that I always do an excellent job.  This is because I adhere to strict European Quality Workmanship Standards which are much higher then American.  I am half English and half German, so you will get European quality for an American price.

LOL  :lol:  :roflmao:.

Well here is my advice stay the F&%¤ AWAY DONT BID .unsecure payment!!!!! ALL he can do is to say "i havent recived anny money yet"!!!

Quote

The only 2 forms of payment that I will accept is cash or a Postal money order, from a US or Canadian Post Office.   Buyers outside the US and Canada will have to mail cash

also i did read the feedbacks oooo not relyable.
And second i think this person is a second class or class IV retard who i would not send my hardware for repairs to.
