I've got a Revision 1.D.4 motherboard in my A1200T which has never given a moment's trouble. I don't really know if it's relevant now, but after fitting a Mediator Z4 and a Voodoo5, I have been unable to use the old PicassoIV on the Zorro side. With both cards installed I cannot get any graphics, only the AGA output.
I've discussed this at length with Elbox and we've gone through a series of 'tests' which they say indicates a timing issue between the Voodoo and the PIV. So I removed the PIV and went back to native video for running LightWave.
With only the Voodoo fitted, everything's fine (except LightWave which won't run with a Voodoo).
So,it makes me wonder if this is the 1.D.4 timing issue described in detail by Eyetech over the years?
Has anyone had any first hand experience of this timing problem in relation to ZII and PCI graphics cards?
Cheers,
JaX
