HDToolBox vs Phase5 SCSIconfig
« on: December 27, 2004, 09:17:30 PM »
When I first got my Blizzard SCSI-IV I made the fatal mistake of
prepping the hard disk with HDToolBox and then altering the
SCSI-specific settings (i.e.Synchronous, Reselection) with Phase5's
SCSIconfig program.

After a myriad of bizarre errors I decided to reformat and use
SCSIconfig exclusively.

The problem is that it's not very graphical in it's display of the
sizes and doesn't support bad block mapping etc.

I currently have HDToolBox 40.4 (2.2.94) and am using 3.0 ROMs with
3.0 Workbench (I am trying to avoid reboots and 10-second delays with
SCSI).

What is the latest HDToolBox with the latest SCSI settings for OS3.0?

I'm not looking for AmigaOS4 luxuries like SCSI error testing but it
would be nice for HDToolBox to support IDE & SCSI specific settings
(particularly the missing Synchronous/Asynch bit).

Hope some SCSI/3.0 owners can help!

:-)
