Check it out HERE

[EDIT] It's the full MC68040 version (not EC or LC versions).

@TjLaZer
Better than an 030 and I've see these(A3640) go for 150$ on eBay!
Well, blame the dollar rate, it would be 75$ if it was a few years ago8-) , I'm selling it for 75$ Euro.
I bought a Cyberstorm and regretted spending so much cash on it, I need to recover a bit.
Comparing with what normally goes on on eBay I don't think I'm pushing it, what do you guys think :-?

Better than an 030

Barely.  I have both, and honestly, except in things that specifically use 040 code, I'd give the speed edge to the 030 card!  Both are dreadfully underpowered for an A4000.

I don't really know what they go for on eBay...  If you can get that much, more the better for you.  I'm not one to stand between someone and their profits.  :-)  I would mention that even Software Hut sells 'em for less, though, and I think they even include a 60 day warranty.  Just food for thought.

Never had the opportunity to play with an A4000, but the A3640 board in my A3000 is a definitely a noticeable speed boost.  Wouldn't ever want to do without it, unless there were a faster card to replace it with...

@Crisisdog
Yes, and Sysspeed (or was it sysinfo..) reports the 3640 cards are pretty much faster than the original 030 ones.

Memory performance is probably better on the 030 one but that's not all at all...

@Crisisdog

Do you notice in Sysinfo with your A3640 card that the FPU and the MMU are disabled or not? Mine is disabled and I am not sure how to enable them!

is your 040 an LC version (no FPU and no MMU)?

mhhh . . .strange, no MMU!

Try to run WhichAmiga and look if the MMU is detected.

States they're enabled on mine.  There shouldn't be anything special to get them enabled, other than making sure you don't have an EC040 chip and also copying the 68040.library to the LIBS: location.

???

Thanks for all the help. I think because I simply booted with a 2.1 WB disk that there was no library installed so the A3640 features were not activated when I then ran sysinfo. On my A4000D, I have WB 3.1 fully installed and I am sure the library was loaded then. So this may have been why I noticed the FPU and MMU were not enabled on the single-boot disk A3000D. I will work this out soon. Thanks again!
