It is official that KMOS pretty much bought out everything from Amiga Inc. As to anything beyond that, there's a dark shadow covering everything in mystery. It was revealed that the same crew is still employed, but it's like a complete blackout really. I know it's difficult, but it might be a good thing.
Years ago, Amiga Inc said they wouldn't release any information until stuff is already done, then they got mired down by the idiots and skeptics in the community (myself included) who wanted to pedantically argue every single point, leaving Amiga Inc on the defensive. Then the tech bubble burst, and when already weakened we had to suffer the personal vendetta of Bill Buck going after McEwen by lawyering AI into the ground.
My hope now is that McEwen et al have taken their own advice and shut up while they're working. Unfortunately that has left the community to feed upon itself, led in chorus by moronic sychophants who hope to gain by slandering others to divide the dwindling community for their own entertainment (or use).
Sad really, but not enough to give up hope yet. If Amiga Inc ain't dead, they ain't dead and as long as Eyetech and Hyperion are around, who really cares? (Come to think of it, one could argue that while bPlan and the MorphOS team are around, who really cares about Genesi?)
I just wish Amiga Inc would put the smack down on the new breed of "people" out there who're actually working to harm their trademarks and pirate stuff. Honestly, considering the derisiveness of the remaining few in the community, almost anyone who goes out of their way to support the Amiga has my deep respect.
