As an old Spectrum user, I have played many of these adventures seen here.

Can't even imagine how many hours I have spent playing them :-D

My vote goes to artura.  Crap graphics and crap gameplay.  Also overkill (cd32), too damn hard to control and just a defender clone.  A few of my favs would be shadow of the beast and epic (played the hell outta them both)

Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo

Played on my friends DX2 66, brilliant (for a PC), so bought it for my amiga, 30 quid for 2 sound effects and 10 frames of animation.  Gametek are criminals.  Just not on.  Even the original street fighter 2 was better.

And of course

FEARS

Doom on the amiga?  No gameplay to speak of, enemies homed in directly on you with abslutley zero AI (the most pathetic creatures i've witnessed in any game), the rockets didn't explode, and did anyone play deathmatch? The most appalling display I've ever seen, it took 99 shots of the shotgun to kill the other player.  An abomination, imo.

I used to kid myself that both Fears and DeathMask were brilliant when I was obsessed with finding a "Doom-beater".
Another feature in Fears that I "loved" was that it was impossible to dodge projectiles from baddies, they just seemed to hurt you by glancing at you!
How come it turned out to be such a POS compared to the demo that was released earlier?  :-?

Anyone ever play Slip Stream from Microdeal?  THAT was pretty bad!  Graphics, sounds, 2 or 3 fps on an A500...
What else.  There weren't that many games that I hated to be honest...  Crazy Cars II comes to mind, Turbo Outrun, everything made in SEUCK except Smurfhunt  :-D.

Other stinkers I seem to remember include Days of Thunder (though the C64 version was even worse!), Several of the Brutal Sports titles, and Nigel Mansell's Grand Prix. Even Psygnosis had a few....

I really liked brutal sports football actually.. the scrolling wasnt very nice, but that didnt matter to me. I loved getting the shields, passing severed heads around, stomping on people when they were on the ground, getting the rabbit that made you  super fast for a few seconds, and so on..

Heyyyy... I thought Wheelchair Gladiators and Extreme Violence were awesome!  That's about it, though.

Award for the most overrated game goes to Wrath of the Demon.  I think that was the ultimate contrast between looks and playability.

Double Dragon 2 was pretty awful, too, but it was a hilarious kind of awful.  :-D  It's a shame I can't get my disk to boot, anymore.
