I regretted selling my Speccy 48k years ago, but I had to to get the money for a +2 so it wasn't that bad.

Wow! 48000 years ago? Talk about retro computing! :-D

It was in like new condition other than the missing F4 key

Good thing nobody ever needed an F-key on the Amiga. :-)

I sold my battered A2000 and regretted it, but I've just picked up an equally battered A2000, so that makes up for it.

Or it would do if I hadn't just blown it up!

Ho hum ...

A also regret selling my '73 Suzuki ST185 enduro racer, the '78 Kawasaki KT100 I learned to ride on, and my '85 Superdream 250.  But that was an age ago, and I have bigger and more powerful toys to keep me occupied :-D

Amiga related:
DKB MegaChip along with the A2000 I sold to DanDude some ...   geezz,  5 years ago or so.  Not easy finding one of those for my other A2000.

Non-Amiga related
1972 Triumph 750
1966 Chevy Impala SS and a 1966 Chevy Impala 4 door.

Mater of fact, I sold the Triumph because I was almost run over by a large dumptruck, and put the money into purchasing an VideoToaster/A2000/MegaChip...

The Chevys sold to pay rent...
Such is life.

Of course if you were a Mopar owner you'd have just moved into your car instead :-D

I've spent lots of cash on things that I've later sold, just because I really couldn't afford them. :-(

Yeah...

My 1991 Golf GTI 16v - 130 Mph and nearly 40 to the gallon.  Shame about the chronic unreliability and group 15 insurance, but one drive would put a smile on my face.

2003 Specialized Rockhopper - Although I've gone and bought a full suspension Spesh Enduro, I miss the response and climbing ability of a hardtail mountain bike.

Letting my ex keep a PC - I had several months worth of rare MP3s on the thing.  Rotten bint then went and wiped the lot...  Grr.

Melanie MacDonald's phone number.  Not actually sold, more misplaced.  I've been kicking myself ever since.  Doh!

A VW unreliable?! Sounds odd, I've got a '91 Polo GT and it's never let me down, not quite as fast as a golf but then it's smaller so it just feels like it  :-P

The only thing ever was my Commodore 64C system. [...] But it wasnt that..it was my shoebox full of software.. 200+ disks, along with some of my own code. Sold it for a Amiga 500. I dont regret the a500, just wish I could find the system/software.

Almost exactly the same thing I did.  I've collected back most of the games and such that I had with my C64... But the BBS software.  My old customized ImageBBS, the CNet-12 pfiles I rewrote, the C= CG art I made, etc...  All gone.

When I went to the Amiga 500, I sold the C64 games with the C64 computer.  No big deal...

I kept all my own programming works and BBS archives for a few months...  Then I did something quite stupid...  I split  up my own project disks and gave them all away to a few BBS'ers who were still using the C64/128s.  "Here.  Feel free to use whatever you want to out of my old projects...."  It's all nowhere to be found, now, though.  :-(

[very offtopic]
VW unreliable I hear? My 20 year old beetle still runs every day. I just wish it would make a little less noise. When you go faster than 80 km/h you'll need hearing protection.
[/very offtopic]

I know I'm going to regret selling the nice beetle so I'm not!

@Wayne

Cool bike! The GS was an excellent machine. I don't have the resources now, but one of these days I would
love to pick up and possibly restore an old GS or CB.

Now I'm not one to pressure ya or anything, :-) but have you checked out the Suzuki Bandit? They're
kind of the modern iteration of those old 70's and early 80's "standards". (I recently picked up a
naked Bandit and LOVE it.) The Kawi ZRX is another cool standard, perhaps a bit more "retro".
Since they're not the latest and greatest "tank-humpers", excellent used deals are everywhere.

Anyhow, just something to keep in mind in case ya find yourself with both cash and the itch at the same
time. And...if you're serious about not biking...stay away from the bike forums...they WILL corrupt your mind
badly...;-)

edit--Just read about your flight, and congratulations - that's really cool, must've been quite an experience. :pint:

The only thing I've regretted selling was my old comic book collection...but I used the money to
purchase my first Amiga, an A500. I still have the A500, along with my old C64, C128 and loads of
old drives/floppies/etc. I'm also not really one hang on to old computers, but I figure for the hassle
of getting $20 on ebay...I might as well keep them (for now). Parting out and selling my 1200 though,
and don't really feel sad about it...it's been sitting in my closet for ages now, and WinUAE pretty much
does everything it did, so I figure "what's the point?"

Luckily I've kept all my Amigas so have few regrets there, with the exception of having sold my Squirrel SCSI interface.  Doh!

A VW? Unreliable? I have a 1984 MK1 Golf Convertible 1.6. Most reliable thing I have ever owned. Lovely to drive. A driver's car, not really comfortable for long journeys, but good for thrashing round bends etc.

Lot's of fun.

YNWA!
