I have *lots* of bits and pieces I could trade for one, or cash waiting. Just name your price.

Ouch!  I hope the battery was good!

-edit-
Sorry Cyb,
I sold my last A3000 on eBay.  I'm going even further back in Amiga time...

I have two A3000s so I might want to sell one. Both are 25Mhz 68030, 16MB FAST + 2MB chip, 3.1 OS on disk (no ROMs but Kickstart on disk file). Perfectly working. One A3000 has the Sunrize's AD1012 audio card, IOBlix exp. card for up to 4 extra (faster) serial ports and 2 parallel ports. Two HDs fitted inside the case. Two floppy disk units. The only problem I see is how to ship abroad.... Price asked will depend on configuration. I also have the NEC 3D Multisync Monitor that I'm no longer using which is perfect for use with the A3000 because it supports the 15Khz video signal that comes from the standard PAL video connector on top of the 31Khz required for the interlaced mode (was using it with the main A3000 which has the CyberVision 3D GFX card fitted, with CyberGraphX v4 graphics driver...). Both have not been used for a while as I'm using Amithlon right now but are in perfect (mint) conditions.

Regards.

Okay

before trying to get an A3000 please tell us what Mains Power your country uses??

110v 50hz
240v 50hz etc

otherwise you will NOT be able to use the A3000 !

just a fair warning
USA machines do not like voltage converters to UK, Aus or NZ power requirements :)
Completely useless? I can always be used as a bad example

Hi AMIGA-FAN,
Thanks for responding to my post.
I am very interested. I suppose I only want the base machine, but may be interested in expansions too.
I am in the UK, but if it makes any difference I can have the item shipped to France also (where my parents live). I will send you a PMail and ask for more details :-)

Hi,
I suppose it may not be THAT obvious (?) but there are two BIG giveaways as to where I live.
1) The big red London bus in my avatar
2) The word Angleterre - England

:-)

Out of interest, why do you say they don't like voltage converters? Surely as long as the PSU is right (i.e. the correct PSU for the country/supply) they will be fine?

Regards

look out for the bus! what bus? SMACK!

oh, the reason that some big box Amiga's dont like voltage converters is due to the TICK line in the PSU, anything that can 'dirty' the line can upset the TICK frequency.

If the voltage converter isnt suppressed correctly or uses a cheaper sign wave inverter then its possible to damage the TICK curcuit inside the PSU.

The A2000 is usually ok, but the A3000 is suseptable to damage and its incredibly hard to find a replacement PSU, or get the old one repaired correctly.

Wish I could get a 240v 50hz A3000 PSU
Mine blows on average every 2 years of use!!

Hello, you wrote:

My A3000 is fully populate with RAM and HDs, plus the Sunrize Ad1012 Audio Card and the Cybervision 3D and never experienced a PSU failure. Anyway, I have a second (basic) A3000 that I'm njot using which I keep for spre parts, so if you are interested, I can sell you a fully functional PSU...

Regards.
