CyberstormPPC 233 back from the grave, nice!

Yup this one simply stopped working one day, and I asked for suggestions from people here. From those ideas I decided to reseat the 68060 chip. remove-reseat-repeat.

Plug in, works like a charm! The 68060 was simply not making good contact in the socket. Sweet! :-)
Someone has to state the obvious and that someone is me!

Hi red,

exactly the same here but . . . prepare yourselt to redo the operation after a while :-(

At the beginning i thought that the lacks of contact was from the socket and the PCB but now i'm not 100% sure.

To reseat the 060 (in my case MUST be inserted NOT full 100%) fix the problem for few days.

Probably one or more socket holes, went ovalized.

80% of the CSPPC to DCE, suffers of this CRAP and easy to fix problem.

Pity that Dellert has no time ti fix it since 3 years ago :-(

Ciao
