68 pin SCSI ?
« on: January 22, 2003, 04:15:10 PM »
I've just got myself a 68 pin scsi hd, does anybody know how to connect this to a 50 pin SCSI adapter?

I have a 50pin adapter in the (PC)server box I'm building and wondered if I could connect it to this.  I've also got a SCSI module for my Blizzard 030 Mk IV on its way, could I use it with that? What sort of interface does the Blizzard SCSI module have?

Anybody know where I could get a 68 -> 50 pin adaptor from?

confused :-?

Hmm I'm pretty sure I have one somewhere. If you get stuck, or if they are too expensive new, let me know. If that happens you make a small ~$10 donation to Amiga.org and I will ship it to you free.

you will need an adaptor,
but dont expect any real speed increases just because your using a wide version of SCSI, obviously you will have the 8 bit wide bottle neck
ive seen the thing your after in australia for ~ $25
dont know what the price would be for other countries though

On the topic of SCSI, does anybody know the best place to get (or way to make) a cable that will attach to the BlizzardPPC 603e+'s SCSI port and fit internal SCSI devices?

What sort of termination works best?

I bought the damn SCSI version based on the fact that the non-SCSI verion could not upgraded yet never managed to find appropriate cabling :-(
