SERVICING
« on: May 26, 2004, 04:35:25 PM »
Hi just got hold of an amiga about a month ago but not many of my games play.  I think it is a hardware problem.  Does anyone know where I can get my machine serviced or can I get a disc cleaner from anywhere.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Cheers

What sort of Amiga is it and name a few of the games..

Cheers for the reply.  The Amiga is  A500  and some of the games are.  Pushover, mortal combat, packman, some of the dizzy games, underwater capers, one of my james pond, capone.

But some of the games that do work are all of thre Starwars trilogy, 2 of the d8izzy games one pack man, super hang-on.

Basically more don't work than those that do.

Any help wold be much appreciated.

Cheers

Dave

Could try your local PC World for a floppy drive cleaner.  I bought one years ago and it's kept my drive clean since.

It might also be that your disks have corrupted over time.  They don't like being stored anywhere near magnetic fields (near speakers or TV), static electricity, dust, heat etc.

Try Ebay or Amibench for replacement originals.
