OS3.5 and CDROM Support Issue
« on: April 27, 2004, 05:57:37 PM »
Hi Folks,

This is kind of a weird problem. Here is my setup:

A3000D
2MB Chip, 4MB Fast
4.5GB HD
OS3.5

When I installed OS3.5, I opted to install the CDROM driver support as well. It worked great, except for a few issues. First, all of my commodities would guru upon boot (mouseblanker, blanker, fkey, etc) and, after the first boot of the system when the CDROM driver was installed, I could no longer execute the CDROM utility in Prefs anymore. I would get no errors, it just would not start anymore.

BTW, my CDROM is an external Ricoh MediaMaster SCSI CD-R/RW set as device 6, HD is set to device 0. The only other stuff hooked to the machine are 2 external floppy drives.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike
