AmosPro 15Khz
« on: April 16, 2004, 03:01:25 AM »
AS I am still waiting for my Z4 Tower from Eyetech I cant do much, but I hooked my Amiga up to a 15" Dell monitor tonight only to find that AmosPRO only works in 15Khz mode!

Is there a way I can use AmosPRO in a 31 Khz mode?

I have tried ModePromotion software program from Aminet and it down work.
The only realy way that I can think of is by having 2 monitors when my Z4 Tower case eventualy comes (Mediator with Voodoo 4 graphics card) the 15" Dell from the Voodoo and my Microvitec Multiscan from the RGB port.
Has any one got any idead on this?

TIA,
Mike....

I really don't know much about AmosPro as I'm just
getting into it myself but it runs fine on my A3k
in 31khz. I have a CyberVision 64 card and have had
no problems running it (except learning to code ;-) )

In that case I am just wandering when my Z4 Tower arrives (living in hope)  and I use the Mediator and Voodoo, then it may run compared to hooking the Amiga RGB to the Dell monitor at 31 Khz.  BTW, using DblPal.

It should work...
I use NTSC but that shouldn't matter.

I'm using NTSC but I don't that should make
a difference. Maybe you have a bad prefs file.
I also have Amos the Creator which I've had for
many years and it wouldn't run in OS3.9.
When I D/Led AmosPRO I did a complete clean
install and it worked fine.
If it still doesn't run, my guess is it in your prefs.

@melott

You use "NTSC" ? Not the Cybervision ?

No wonder you have no probs running it, that 15kHz NTSC is transformed into a 31kHz signal by the onboard flickerfixer of your A3000  :-o
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else
