"Not very".  I'm under the impression that a default Mac install is a little less vulnerable than the average Linux distro install, and a good bit less than a default Windows install (though that last part isn't very difficult at all).

Against a decently configured Windows install (and no MS apps installed/in use), I think Windows comes out on top.  Though a decently configured Windows install versus a decent MacOS setup, dunno.

Ok, it worked now. Took its time but at least I didn't get a window popping up saying "Server busy".

Yeah, that was the well renound pre-SP1 keyboard patch or something similar that just screwed up some peoples machines, but that was a one off and hasn't
happened again...

I am still suffering from this problem.  How do I fix it?  The fixed patch doesn't make any difference.  Can I download SP1 from Microsoft's website?  At windowsupdate.com all I see are hotfixes.

@Lo

Hum,
you may be intrested in Windows98 SE service pack though...    (Microsoft has never released a service pack for Windows98 SE. But here`s a Service Pack for Windows98 SE users. It contains all Windows98 SE updates from WindowsUpdate site and more...)

And you  may also notice,

 Safe XP 1.4.4.20 (which is freee! Download 343 kb)

link for both programs

Anyone else noticed that Microsoft quietly stopped touting it's "C3 Security Certification" shortly after NT4 was
released? :) I wonder why...

That's cool I use 98SE too (besides the Amiga of course) and decided to give it a try... 8-)
