Amiga 500+ in a 128D case.
« on: October 21, 2025, 04:14:11 PM »
So my oem Amiga 500+ case snuffed it on its way from Sydney to Dubai, the keyboard is also shot as 8 or 9 of the keys no longer respond, I replaced the membrane with a new one, but that obviously wasn’t the issue, so that persists. Anyways, with all the crap hanging off it inside, hdmi out/ accel card, ide etc. I kinda wondered if it would be better off in a bigger case and an external keyboard. Now I wouldn’t have even thought of doing this if the case wasn’t cracked in several spots, so it’s not like I am wreaking a case. It’s already broken..

Anyways, I would have loved to get myself an Amiga 1000 salvage case, but even the non booting 1000’s are a ton of cash. But there was a while back a huge supply of cheap 128D cases. Including shipping, it was 30 bucks from Germany. Yep the plastic one with the handle in it. Not the US one.

So I bought that on eBay, and now here we are..

Bit of a work in progress..

Pics are not in order.. no idea how to attach them to this post.
