There's a weird thingie attached to my Cybervision 64/3D
« on: April 15, 2018, 09:13:48 AM »
In a fit of inspiration I pulled lots of my old Amiga stuff from the attic - I opened my lovely old 060 A2000 and discovered that among other things it had 2 Cybervision 64/3D cards installed! I only remembered there being one in there.

One of them has a weird semi-home made looking card attached to it, and I'm wondering if anyone has ever seen anything like it.

I'm guessing it's a pass through or something, but it has a wire (the white wire in the photos) that looks like it needs to be clipped to a pin somewhere (like those clip wires the Megachip has) and I have no idea where it would go.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Do you remember what the benefit of 2 cv boards was? Afaik cgx didnt support more than one at a time?

I was using this machine for audio work with Studio16, Prostation Audio, and Bars & Pipes with dual monitors, I don't remember the specifics of how I set it up though (ModePro or something let me pick which monitor to put programs on, I think?) and the system drive has the click of death and won't start :/

I definitely remember using dual monitors w/ a CV3D and a Retina II card which is why I was surprised to find 2 Cybervisions in there.

I kinda want to get this up and running again so I'm wondering what chip/pin that white cable would attach.

I used CVPPC and CV64 together in my A3000 for years with a dual monitor setup, with CGfx4.

Cool! And you were able to extend the screens, using them at the same time?
