IDE / CF -> PCMCIA adaptor
« on: July 25, 2017, 10:24:53 AM »
does anyone know where i can get one of those diagonal IDE PCB's that routes the A1200's IDE port to sit above the PCMCIA slot ?

I think Kipper used to make them but i think he has quit the hardware scene.

Thanks

Nick

UK Auction for you here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/CF2IDE-Amiga-A600-A1200-EXTERNAL-CF-ADAPTER-ADVANCED-EDITION-NO-IDE-CABLE-/172376635312?epid=877413768&hash=item282272b7b0:g:0yMAAOSw4shYBTCQ

Interesting auction.  I always liked that type of adapter.  But was it really necessary to smudge out the name on the product in the photo?  That feels a bit... sketchy.  :(

Yep , thats precisely why i havent clicked buy it now. Im guessing if i knew what the name was i'd be able to buy it cheaper elsewhere.

I just bought a CF adapter from AmigaKit.  Shipping to US and total cost was $29.  I got it with 3 IDE ribbon and it comes with a pre-formatted 4GB C.F. disk and a back up OS-Install floppy disk.  This is actually a excellent product and I have setup my A4000 easily with it.  For the price it is the best deal, plus supporting Amigakit is always a good idea.  Here's the link http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=883
