A2088 3.5 HD Floppy??
« on: February 05, 2016, 08:35:38 PM »
Just got an A2088 bridgeboard off eBay, no drive or disks. I was able to get it to load dos by preparing the image in winuae first, and it works, which is surprising because as you can see in the picture there's something funky going on with that one chip...Anyway, since I don't have any 5 1/4 drives I was wondering if I could just go ahead and plug in a 3.5 HD drive. I've heard it will work with 720k drives, but if I were to plug in a regular HD drive, would it just treat it as DD??  Low-Density 3.5 drives are much harder to find than 5 1/4, and craaazy expensive!

The A8088 BIOS Doesn't support use if a HD 3.5" FDD. The Original IBM XT BIOS didn't support then either.
