Best Radeon PCI card for 3000Di?
« on: November 16, 2015, 06:43:03 PM »
I'm deciding which radeon to purchase for my Di and am trying to decide which one is best. Should I purchase a 9200 actively cooled 5v card or a passively cooled universal 3v/5v card?

The problem with any actively cooled video card, the fans are usually really cheap, and you never know when it's going to go out.  But then again, in my system it's not the Radeon that gets all that hot, it's the Indivision AGA.  But then I have an A4000D, and I think the 3000 is a bit more tight of a fit?

It's usually easy enough to swap the fan and heatsink out for a nice zalman (4 screws and minor blood loss)

Either should do, i use a sapphire radeon. they are pretty cheap and work well for 128Mb card.
Go with the passive card if you can.
In my 4000 the radeons never been a heat problem.

What zalman do you recommend for a 9200?
