Better to start fresh. 3.9 with BB1-4 is great for upgraded classic Miggy's, you don't need any of that other stuff. My .02 cents.

ive just added my routers ip to the dns and it seems to of worked.
i ran aweb typed in google.co.uk got a white screen with text then it crashed.

went on to dc telnet and connected to telehackers.com it worked! i was able to watch the ascii starwars film thing and goto a few other telnet sites

ill try installing aweb again and find a few browsers to try.

im getting further thank you to all your replies so far

IBrowse is a bit more stable than AWeb (IMHO).

There were some unstable versions of AWeb_APL but the 3.5.09 version and later are mostly stable, at least up to HTML 4.01 and JS 1.5. Some people get a 0x8000000B crash on startup which is a LINE-F trap usually caused by FPU code without an FPU. I'm not sure if this is an AWeb component using the FPU (Andy Broad claims that AWeb should not use the FPU) or a non-AWeb library that is called. Similar problems can occur with IBrowse MUI libraries where they are either buggy versions or use resources that the computer does not have.

I love you man.  But just because YOU don't know how to install them, doesn't mean they don't work great.  

The "official" BoingBag 1 and 2 cause problems for some users but are worthwhile upgrades. BoingBag 3 and 4 also cause problems for a minority of users and are a mixed bag but mostly good. I bet magnetic uses several components that are in BoingBag 3 and 4 like Peter K's icon.library.

A bit off topic but, is there a way to straighten out all the boing bags? Take out the old and buggy parts, replace with newer versions and put them all on 1 CD?

I can't imagine it would be too hard for someone with a CF interface to just pop in a blank CF, install 3.9 off the CD, then install BB 1, 2, 3, 4, all in order, then download the few additional updates from Aminet that aren't included in the BB's. Heck, I could do that. But creating some kind of installer script and putting it on a CD... that would probably take some doing.

The only times I see legit problems is if you take an already running system, something that's been in use and had all manner of updates and changes made, and then try to install a BB update. It's just like with Windows, the best way to do it is a fresh install on a blank drive, then install ALL the updates, before you make any changes or install anything else.

I fine-tune my stuff to the nth degree!  Back in the '90s I would edit each and every icon for pixel-perfect precision, color, and alignment, and smallest file size.  I would stay up till 4am just fixing icons!  Had that sh1t down to an art, part of my OCD, I suppose.  Don't have time for that anymore though, but I do still anxiously watch Aminet for any updates to any of the libraries I use!  

The Amiga is beautiful, for the myriad ways it can be customized.  I still tell that to anyone who will listen, even today.

Easynet is not all that easy, but Amigakit stands behind their offerings, so open a support ticket and ask them to work with you on solving the problem. Also try pinging your router to see if the stack is working (>ping 192.168.0.1 for example).

I use Roadshow myself: an easy install with one reboot and it is running (unless you can't follow directions):laughing:

 I am sad to say I never had any luck with Easynet, and I too use Roadshow , which has to be the easiest one ever and works wonderfully well on all my Amiga, best wishes Brian.
