I never knew these existed.  If it's a hack, it looks factory.

I've been watching that for a while.  Would love to know it's history!

I wonder if it was used in a studio with a Video toaster setup of some sort? The labels on the back of the case seem to indicate that.

Oh man, you get that rack-mount chassis above, and this system with a Flyer in it, and you can build one hell of a early-1990s video editing powerhouse:

Seems to only be missing the @@RARE@@ and **LOOK** in the title. @BONUS@ battery leakage has got to be worth a few bones, too.

That's damn expensive for a 68000 A2000 - rack mount or not.

I'm guessing he got some sheet metal, drilled some holes, mounted the A2000 faceplate to it along with the rest of the rig and then bolted it into the rack.  Pretty easy to do.

Not hard to make a faceplate or side mounting tabs/plates for an A2000 to fit into a standard rack.  I suppose it's a possibility some company made just rack adapters for the A2000, but they weren't terribly hard to make with a few scraps of sheet metal.  The matching color is a nice, clean touch though.

Did it myself years and years ago when I was still running a BBS on legacy hardware - the dimensions on an A2000 case are just perfect for mounting in a standard 19" rack.
