Kickstart Switch from aminet
« on: July 04, 2014, 02:52:30 PM »
Decided to build a 3 ROM switch after being able to find one at a reasonable price and found the diagram for one on aminet.  All parts are easy to find except for the 2P4T switch as shown below.

Radio Shack just looked at me like I had grown a third eye, not surprising.

Jameco had no clue.

Any suggestions where I might be able to pick one up or should I figure out a way to go with a DPDT center off switch?

The switch you seek is actually called a dp4t (double pole,4 throw).

I found a couple on ebay.
Search on ebay for: 2P4T

They use to be easy to get, I remember.

Thanks guys.  Kinda figured I'd have to go non-local.

Mouser!  Heck, I forgot about them.

After a little more research, I've discovered the switch is actually DP3T.  4T switches have too many terminals.  Of course, I guess you could use a 4T if you wanted to add another ROM, but 1.X, 2.X, and 3.X should do most people!
