OctaMED S.S. Random MIDI Crap
« on: March 24, 2014, 03:40:17 AM »
I've been noticing this and it's really really strange.

I can sometimes start up a new project in OctaMED S.S. 1.3c, confiture MIDI as active, and Input as Active, and everything will work just right.

Then sometimes I will configure everything and I can trigger the input to the Amiga via the instrument I want to trigger from, or I can go the other way around. Then when I hit play, it plays back everything I put into OctaMED.

Othertime both input and output will work, but when I hit play, nothing happens.

Then other times input will work, but not out, or the other way around. And it will be one way with one instrument, and another way with another instrument.

I know enough about settings to know that MIDI Active and Input Active are all I need.

The volume is set to MAX for each instrument, and the MIDI channels are correctly assigned.

The strange thing is that if I get everything working right and save it as a MED file. No matter what, even if configuring a new project will not work right, if I load up the pre-saved MED from a working MIDI configuration, it will just randomly work correctly.

How's that for random chaos and disorder?

Nevermind, I finally gave OctaMED 4 a second chance and it's giving me zero issues thus far. I may just switch over.
