How to Get Amiga Games on iPad and iPhone – Legally
« on: February 20, 2014, 01:53:36 AM »
If you are one of the vast majority of iOS users terminally uninterested in going to the effort, time and risk of jailbreaking your device, then playing retro games can be something of an expensive and fruitless task.

So, anyone wanting to blast through old Amiga games on the bus, on a non-jailbroken iPhone or iPad, might think that there is little chance of being able to get their favourite Amiga game legally.

Jailbreaking is legal if you are a Yank.  It's questionable elsewhere.

Yes, you could pay an excessive price for the 1% or so of Amiga games that have actually been ported to iOS, paying an extra 30% to Apple who have done nothing for the Amiga ever and supporting them with their DRM crap, and then trying to play these games on a device that has no keyboard or gamepad. Or you could buy a device such as a Pandora or GP2X, run a free emulator on it and play 100% of your games for free with no DRM, no NSA backdoors, etc.
