Vortex ATOnce 500 + Mega-Midget Racer
« on: September 09, 2015, 08:38:01 PM »
Is it possible to have both installed in an Amiga 500 since both connect to the CPU? Has anyone attempted this?

Might work.

Don't have a Racer, but the ATOnce I have actually has the 68000 cpu soldered directly to the underside of the board so it would definitely have to go on top of the Racer board.

You say it's worth trying? I wonder if I can still fit the KB and cover back without problems.

I tried vortex with ICD add-ide which both go on the m68000 CPU socket. The vortex had its own M68000 in a PGA factor. It did not work for me. I don't know if that relates to the MMR.

If you have both, sure, give it a whirl!

No guarantees on the case fitting back together!  It's pretty snug height wise!

Let us know how it goes.
