download the latest driver from Here

and read the doc about the Sana2 variable.

The installation CD is ~ 8MB in size. Contact me privately, if you want it as ISO.

Testing 16bit memory...false! Then a lot of figures with some differences between written and reading.

You should get about like this:

5/0.MOS:C> xsurftest
xsurf testprg V1.2 (13.12.1999)

Searching for xsurf card (VEN_ID=4626, PROD_ID=23)....found
Board address = 0xea0000

ISA Plug and Pray [ähm] Play setup...
01-CARD VendorID = 0x19808c4a SerNr=0x15eb CRC==x54
Setup PNP card...

Searching for RTL8019 at 0x300...found!
Testing 16bit memory...ok!
Ethernet address =  0:c0::b0::14
Chip is in PnP mode
Chip is using half-duplex mode
Chip is using IOBase 0x300 and IRQ 3

IRQ / Loopback / cable connection test in progress:
IRQ received ok.
Packet send......via TP!

After a cold boot the program did not even find the RTL8019. Emailed Jens. Will post back here.
Thanks!

Guess what...
While mailing with Jens he asked a picture of the chip on his card. So I once again removed it from my Amiga. Took the picture, put the card back, switched on the A4000:IT WORKED! Rebooted. Worked. Switch off an on: still worked.
Jens thinks that it probably was a contact problem then.
I will leave it there and do not touch it again!

Or perhaps you should consider cleaning the contacts... ;-)

The X-surf had worked OK for a long time, but about a year ago it stopped working again. So I bought an X-surf-100 and everything is OK in the A4000.
I also have an A3000 and I thought, why not try the broken X-surf in there? It used to work in an A2000.
And it works flawlessly. So the problem is definitely not in the X-surf, but in the combination with an A4000D/Cyberstorm 060.

There are issues in the Z3 address area with other cards; drop it into the Z2 address and check it.  You can also remove other Z3 cards (ZorRam, BRP, Mediator) and see if it works.  The card will show up in Z3 mode (firmware is read) but the cramped address space will not let it function.  In Z2 mode it takes up far less space, but is also slower.  For Z3 cards address space, the order they are installed is crucial.
