> AIX is short for the french name of the town
Aix La Chapelle or Aachen. It's the left-most corner of Germany where the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany meet. The roman emperor Carolus Magnus (Karl der Grosse) had his main residence here, 8th century. Some thirty+ kings and emperors were crowned in Aachen.
> Don't ask me why he used the french name of a german town (Aachen) for his editor, but he did.
Sounds nice. It's widely used locally. You will find copy shops or car rentals that have names such as AIX Press or AIX tra.
> GoldED-AIX works on "real"-Amigas, UAE, Amithlon and MorphOS.
It works with AOS3. I'm not sure about Morphos, there are conflicting reports.
