AMIGA BBS's Listing.
« on: January 28, 2004, 01:14:32 AM »
Hey all,
I was wondering, is there a listing of ONLINE AMiGA BBS's for people to login to via telnet or otherwise?, How about some sort of Web Page set up so people can go looking for favourites.

Problem with BBS's is finding local ones, the Telnet overcomes this.

Being in Australia, it was hard to find a local one but  I used to love hanging round on BBS's, playing online games etc...

Would be nice to agin do something like this.
Anyone remember Nethack?
It's not the question, that is the problem, it is the problem, that is the question.

Hi

A list is available here:
http://www.dmine.com/telnet/
And you should be able to find quite a few Amiga ones in there

And as for nethack - that has to be one of the best games ever! There's even a 3d version, called the Eagle's eye or something (which I didn't like at all) and there's a graphical version too (which is good). I still prefer the ASCII feel though.

And at this point, someone chips in with, "But ADOM's better!"
[or at least that's what one of my mates says when I mention Nethack]
I like Amigas

I think it would be cool to access a BBS again.

Who's up for starting an Amiga related BBS in the Melbourne area? (a real dial up one, not a crappy fake telnet one)

@Cyberus

That's great! and thanks. But how do you find AMIGA specific BBS's. Most of those would have to be PeeCee

I think if you work your way through some of the lists you can see the Amiga-specific ones....obviously this will be a bit tedious.
Have you tried looking under 'A'? There may be BBSs with titles like 'Amigazone' or some such... :-?
I like Amigas

I'm on a BBS for the first time in my life. It's kinda fun. :-)

MS Telnet stinks though.
