80pin sca scsi hard drive
« on: February 04, 2004, 03:59:57 PM »
would a scsi hard drive with a "80pin sca" connecter on it work in my Amiga 2000 if I get the correct adaptor to convert it to a 50pin scsi? and if so, does anyone know of a company in the UK that I can buy a converter from?

Hey guy from finland,

Can you tell me the setup you have in order to make use of a SCA drive on your A1200?

I'm very interested in achieving the same, currently i'm using an Adaptec SCSI-IDE bridge, though results are good on bigger files, on slower ones its not and seektime is not too good either...

Cheers,
guy from denmark...ehm.

Robbie: looks like correct adapter.

Guy from Denmark: Well.. I have 9G SCA-drive with similar adapter shown in this thread connected normally to scsi-chain like other devices too. At the moment I have one 50-pin HD, CD-RW and DAT in my MicroniK Classic tower and then I have external SCSI-tower which has the SCA-HD and some other scsi-stuff. SCSI-controller is the SCSI-kit in B1260. Not much to tell.. :)
