I'm really baffled by this one guys:
My setup: an A2500 with an HxC Floppy Emulator and no real drives. Works flawlessly.
I ordered an external floppy from eBay and hooked it up (externally of course). It lights up and is recognized as a drive, but doesn't read disks. I decided I'd better hook up some of my internal drives and make sure that the disks are readable. I disconnected the external drive and the floppy emulator.
Funny thing: I have two internal floppy drives. I'm trying to hook them up as DF0 and DF1, but DF1 is not being recognized no matter where on the cable, or what the jumper settings are. But both drives will work as DF0 on either position on the cable, just not at the same time. The drive that's on DF1 doesn't power up, click, or do anything when a disk is inserted.
Am I missing something?
To recap: I put the first drive as DF0 on the jumper on the end of the cable (twisted end), and the second drive as DF1 on the jumper in the middle of the cable. DF1 will not work.
Any suggestions?? Thanks!!
Chris
