USB adapter mouse and wheel

That's why I got the adapter!  So that I didn't have to worry about cleaning the mouse ball.  That and I wanted to use my Aeon mouse with the boing ball on it as my main mouse, it's so much smother in movement than the ball one.

So I decided to see if I could figure out how much power an optical mouse actually takes.  I found this posting; http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/29891-35-optical-mouse-power-consumption  

Consider, an optical mouse has one LED that illuminates the surface on which
it runs, while a ball mouse typically has two LEDs that illuminate the two
position sensors.  So all else being equal the ball mouse will draw twice
the power and present twice the radiation hazard.

Don't know how accurate that is, but it would be rather ironic if it's true...

One quick note.  When using my USB mouse through this adapter, if I click on a scroll bar and drag downwards a bit, then stop with the mouse held down, the mouse will stop moving until I let go of the button.  This does not happen with the normal 2 button mouse.

Also, my Logitech 'Performance MX' wireless mouse works fine through the Spider card, but not through the USB to 9pin adapter.  Which probably is just because it doesn't supply enough power.  It's 5v 100ma for the 'Boing Ball' mouse.
