@AmigaKit

So what A1200 accelerator models are you going to provide (to comlement the new ACA500) to buyers in the future? I'm curious as the only A1200 accelerator available at the moment is the ACA-1231/42 at Vesalia. When might we expect another run of Jens accellerators? Thanks in advance.  ;)
A500: 2MB Chip, 8MB Fast, IndiECS, MiniMegi, IDE4ZorroII on Z-500, KS1.3/KS3.1, WB3.1&BWB

A2000HD: 2MB Chip, 128MB Fast, P5:Blizz 2060@50MHz, PCD-50B/4GBCF, XSurf100, RapidRoad, IndiECS, Matze RTG, MiniMegi, CD-RW, SunRize AD516, WB3.9

A1200: 2MB Chip, 64MB Fast, 4GBCF, GVP Typhoon 030 @40MHz w/FPU, Subway USB, EasyNet Ethernet, Indi AGA MKI, FastATA MK-IV, Internal Slim CD/DVD-RW, WB3.5

I'm not clear exactly what the SuperPLA does.  It seems to be a replacement PLA clone for C64s with broken PLA chips (by my best guess).

Yes, you are correct; it is a replacement PLA clone.  It's supposed to be more compatible than any other PLA clone made from EPROMs.  FWIW, others make PLA clones (like Eslapion in Montreal, Quebec).

How does one identify a broken PLA chip? I have a C64c that won't start - could this be the problem?

Kedawa: No, that's actually what you are recommended to do. Any Fast RAM in the trap door will be disabled by the ACA500.

VingtTrois: You mean 2 MB Fast RAM (on the ACA500) and 1 MB Chip RAM (0.5 MB on the mother board and 0.5 MB on the trap door expansion).

Lot's of A500 owners will probably modify their A500 to have 1 MB Chip RAM. :rtfm:

That's a relief.  I can't wait to get my hands on the accelerator.

I wonder if the ACA500 can use its RTC port on an A500 that already has an RTC in the trapdoor.
I still have one in my trapdoor expansion, but I had to remove the battery, so it's currently useless.

Nice hardware.

Too bad it's not getting any faster though.

Would be cool if he was, one day, selling an 060 accelerator with 256MB Fast RAM for the Amiga 1200 (if that's even possible, technically).

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but just got an A500 a few days ago and am looking for bits to add to it.  Any updates on when the ACA500 might be available?

Thanks!
