A4000 (silly me)
« on: April 03, 2013, 02:02:25 AM »
After firing up my A2000(see post) with success I decided to setup my A4000 as it has been a while.  Connected everything, blah..blah.. pushed the power button and got the insert floppy screen panic almost set in as she was working just fine.  After several tries with same results..I opened her up(pic)..took me a minute.. ug.. lol :-)

I think you're trying to say the hard drive ribbon cable was not plugged in but that picture is kinda small so it's hard to make out the details.
Music I've made using Amigas and other retro-instruments: http://theovoids.bandcamp.com

A standard procedure in my A4000 towerized - the more pieces crammed together the more contact problems.

Yup.. Seems I had removed the SCSI cable some time back and had forgotten that fact when
I was powering up the system the other day..ha.. opps.

At any rate once I did plug the HD into the Fastlane..still wouldn't boot.  Not sure if it is the Faslane card or the HD.  Good thing I had an ide HD loaded with 3.1 so the machine works flawlessly :-).  I think I want to go with a CF card setup soon..
