AROS Port of Odamex Now Supports Default Music Playback
« on: March 13, 2013, 09:55:48 PM »
I am a few days late with this one, but BsZili and Serk118uk have work their magic so that the AROS port of Odamex will now play back the default MIDI musick from the DOOM series. It has something to do with SDL and it not referencing Timidity correctly?
I'm no coder so I don't know all the technical points, but I would love to see the same thing done for the MorphOS port of SDL. So if any of your MorphOS devs are reading this please contact BsZili to see what needs to be done exactly.

Likewise, BsZili has updated his Odamex package so that it now includes the required ODAMEX.WAD. All you have to do to start DOOMing is drop DOOM.WAD or DOOM2.WAD into the Odamex folder and you are ready to play.

Get Odamex for AROS and MorphOS here, but again remember that the default music still will now play in MorphOS because the SDL library needs modified to support Timidity.
