I've pledged. But I'd be surprised if it actually happens. It's not had enough press and a very short pledge window.

The last few space trading games (albeit without the name) regardless of how good they are have fallen into insignificance.

Dangerous, Sins of a Solar Empire, X³: Albion Prelude etc. etc.

I dunno if the genre is dead?

I don't know about that, but while I loved "Elite", I think it would be considered kind of "boring" by today's gaming measurements. Better graphics wouldn't change that IMHO, I think something more is required. Maybe some kind of RPG layer?
MorphOS is Amiga done right! :)

Aren't Frontier Developments supposed to have been working on Elite IV since the last century, though?

Very sceptical it'll happen..... it would have done already by now, if it was going to.
