ASB Computer Shop
« on: October 04, 2012, 04:40:02 PM »
I've come across ASB Computers and they seem to carry some rare items not available at other stores such as Amigakit.  I've never heard of them before.  Are they reputable?

Here's their site:  http://shop.asb-computer.com/

absolutely.  they're the 'go-to' guys for folks in spain/portugal.  you'll find ads of theirs in amiga future, too, by the way.

@eliyahu

Thanks.  I was somewhat suspicious because I couldn't find any contact info or site reviews.

Did anyone try the Extremebox on their website with G-REX ? Is this an Elbox-tower or an ASB Computer product ?

Ordered from them. Took ages. Turned out they didnt have the item in stock. But they were very friendly and had another company (probably Amigakit) send me the goods anyway. They used to have BlizzardPPC's listed on their site, but ofcourse they are not available. In the end I would say they can be trusted, but they are not Amigakit.
Amiga 1200 (1d4) Kickstart 3.1 (40.68), Elbox Power/Winner tower (450w psu), BlizzardPPC 603e+ @240mhz & 060 @50mhz, 256MB, Bvision, IDE-fix Express, IndivisionAGA, 120GB IDE, cd, dvd, Cocolino, Micronik Keycase, PCMCIA Ethernet, Ratte monitor switcher, Prelude1200, triple boot WB3.1 / OS3.9 / OS4.1, Win95 / MacOS8.1

Same here, flashed up as "A reported attack site". Don't know who would report it as such... maybe rival Amiga Shops! :roflmao:

Seems to be safe though, I went to the site regardless and didn't knowingly get attacked.

That link,

http://shop.asb-computer.com/

does not work for me.

Edit - OK, now it does.

Man! They've got some items I haven't seen in awhile!
Do the listings really indicate that they've really got these items for sale?

AVAST Anti-Virus also reports it as an attack site.

And the answer is no.
They've got a lot of items listed that they don't have in stock.
