Hiya,

There are lots of ways to do it but it's kind of pointless.

If I want to play a CDROM game on my Amiga (eg Broken Sword), I just rip the contents off the CD using my PC and then copy it to my CF card then transfer it my 16GB SSD HD via PCMCIA.
Life begins at 100 MIPS!

Nice Ports on AmiNet!

I installed eSATA ports on my 1200. If i need to I can use a external CD-ROM, but to me they are getting as outdated as floppies.   All you need is a 4xIDE adapter and a dual or single IDE->SATA converter. I did use it to  to play myst, and I burned a few CDs... I have a FastATA, but  I have used one with a regular 4xIDE.

Kind of off topic.
I ordered this item from newegg which I will try with the amiga. It is an standard external eSATA/USB 2.5 drive enclosure but it also has a virtual ISO thing that can make it appear as CD-ROM. If it works I'll try it with CD32 games and emulators. its called a Zalman ZM-VE200

Well, works most of the time by mounting a CF card as CD but you won't run Exodus that way... Exodus will only run from CD.

Onescapee runs from hard drive, if you set up an assign. I couldn't get "shadow of the third moon" to work though (though it doesn't look like it'd run that great on an 030 anyways)
