I mentioned the fact that I was considering starting “The Friendly Computer Company” based on my thinking in “Personal Genie” and he said, “that’s a great name. I wonder if there is a computer name that is like this?” We were at a trade show in Munich, and he pointed out that a name had to be suitable across languages. I thought for a moment, and suggested, “Amigo.” He said he liked the name, but it wasn’t quite right."
What he says doesn't jive at all with history as we know it. Amiga was named Amiga prior to Jack getting involved. He only later got involved post-Commodore at Atari, extending the $500k to "Amiga Corporation".
