Newtek Flyer and SCSI to IDE
« on: May 19, 2014, 10:53:30 PM »
Has anyone gotten SCSI to IDE converts to work with the flyer? I get the error "CANT READ PARAMETERS FROM DRIVE" THis is with CF cards and IDE drives. However it will work with 80pin to 50 pin converters for SCA drives

I was just wondering if anyone got SCSI to IDE to work and if so can you share your wisdom

 Thanks

I have an A4000T Toaster/Flyer assembled and working.  It has a large (for the time) IDE 80gb drive connected via an Adaptec piggy-back adapter to the Flyer SCSI and it works fine.

Others have gotten this to work in the past.

Changed some settings on the ACARD 7720 and success! FlyerHD see the 4GB CF card. Now lets see if it will pass all the tests for HQ5 :laugh1:

Holy Crapola while I was writing this message the test is already at 10%. My 4GB scsi drives takes an hour or more to get this far. I hope CF will work, its greased lightning!!!
