Intergrated Wireless on CPU/Chipset.

Hi
Is it possible to intergrate Wifi into PowerPC
CPU or MAI Logic/Marvel chipset?
Which one is the best option?
Is there any Amiga OS driver for Prism, Orinoco,
Atheos, Broadcom, TI ACX, Atmel or other wireless
chipset?
Thank's.

@asian1:

Yes, it is possible to integrate Wifi into pretty much any chipset design. Though it could as well be implemented using an external chip or expansion card.

At present there are no AmigaOS drivers for any wireless chipsets. Anyone out there feel urged to start writing one? ;)

(edit): You could always use wireless network on your Amiga by using an ethernet to wireless bridge.

Happy W-LANing!

Hi
Thank's for the reply.
On Linux X86, it is possible to use Windows Wireless
device driver using NDIS Wrapper or Linuxant Loader.
Is it possible to use similar method with
emulation on AmigaOS or Linux PowerPC?
NDisWrapper
Linuxant

Hi All-
My naive heart leaps up with this discussion.  Combine an almost available wi-fi driver with an apperently compatible PCMCIA wi-fi card (~$60.) and my A1200 is out of the closet and back on the internet.  Such nice dreams.

All Wifi cards I've seen are cardbus (32bit PCMCIA), but the Amiga 1200 has a 16bit PCMCIA... so it's a no go :-(
