Maybe it's like Swiss Army Knives.... Wenger makes the "genuine" and Victorinox makes the "official".... or is it the other way 'round? ;-)

Victorinox make the ones the actual Swiss army use now. Wenger made the "Swiss Army Knife" as we all know it, the original. Guess they just lost the contract to supply the Swiss Army. At least neither of them re-badged a two bit pocket knife and sold it for $2500.

Alinea Computer also have several case stickers for example this:

here the big question which is the official and which not?

Well AmigaKit state on the page that they are officially licensed from Hyperion. I don't have any reason to doubt that statement.

Also AmigaKit have the stickers for next to almost nothing. Compared to the €3 for the others.

I am going to order a few. Got a couple of projects that these would suit.

If I buy a Mac Mini and this Boing Ball Case Badge(R)(TM), I then have an official amiga?

Sounds good! This Apple Amiga is also cheaper than the Commodore Amiga. W00t!

ya finally you can cover up those half eaten apples:razz:

I don't see anything on the Alinea page that their case stickers/badges are official, or licensed by anyone.  I guess that they are illegal stickers, or they would put on their store site who they are licensed through.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

Indeed. But then it is nothing new. There used to be certain guy with strong anti piracy attitude selling his own Amiga stickers.

I don't think it's me you mean (I have no anti-piracy attitude whatsoever) but  I sold a load of these on eBay years ago (like in '01 or so).

I wanted a custom boing case badge for my A1200T and the cheapest place I found to make them had a minimum quantity of 50, so I had 49 left over.

I just put them on eBay and they sold like hot cakes for £2 each.  I didn't even realize it wasn't allowed until years afterwards after reading a message in comp.sys.amiga.advocacy about Gary Peake getting loads of stuff pulled from eBay (case badges, mouse mats, T-shirts, hats...)
