Stelladaptor 2600 + Amiga Mouse + Windows (7) will it work?
Have anyone tried to hook up an amiga mouse to a Stelladaptor 2600 under Windows? Why? Just for fun. Would it work?

I doubt it.  The Stelladaptor is for digital joysticks.  I might be mistaken, but doesn't the Amiga mouse require the Paula chip because there is some analogue to digital conversion going on (like the SID chip does with the 1530 mouse)?

So no Paula, no Amiga mouse.

If you want something that looks like an Amiga mouse to work, you could try a 1351 in joystick mode http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commodore_1351#Joystick_mode

As mentioned in that article, you need to hold one of the buttons on the mouse while powering up to get it into this mode.  I'd guess even if it did work, it'd behave a bit differently than a mouse, probably no connection between how fast you move the mouse and how fast the cursor moves.

Awesome - 1531 mouse. Is the speed of the mouse the same as compared to an Amiga 500 mouse operating in Workbench?

Since the mouse operates in joystick mode, there is no proportional movement. i.e. the software cannot detect how fast you are moving the mouse pointer across the screen, only in which direction you are moving the pointer.

So the speed of the mouse is fixed, and can be set in software.

It's not as nice as a real proportional mouse (try moving your mouse pointer with the amiga keyboard shortcuts to get the feeling).

The 1530 mouse also works this way.

What is just buy a Catweasel MK4 and I hook up an Amiga mouse to that. How is the speed in WinUAE again compared to a real Amiga? Will it also be like dragging the cursor with the keyboard?

The Catweasel can use Amiga digital joysticks, but I'm not sure about Amiga mice....again no Paula is in there (unless it does the analogue to digital conversion some other way).

If it can use Amiga mice I'm sure it will work well with WinUAE.

Might be easier, though, to just put the guts of a PC mouse in the Amiga mouse's body.
