Amiga Mediator A1200 Lan Karte

Hello All Amigan,s

After 10 Years of contemplation i Finially brought my Old A1200 Out of its Long time Sleep.

And decided that My Pc Is ok but it has no image as such,and wanted my old Amia Feeling Back.

So Looked around got my self a EZ Tower, Mediator 1200,Cf-Card,Voodoo 3000,realtek Lan Card,Sb 128,Spider,and of coarse,a Bppc 040/25mhz 603/175 rev2 Card.

The Bppc Card i sent to the Bppc/Guru Stan, who with his excellent Service did a complete overhaul and upgrade of the card, now i am a owner of a powerful 060/66mhz 603/333mhz Monster.

Oh what fun and challenging it was Setting it all up,Thats what i missed about the Amiga.So Os3.9 Installed,Ibrowse (manage to find the key Disk in the celler) and could upgrade to 2.4 Nice.

MMCD Disk couldn,t find But had a System with the data on a old Dusty HD i Had in the celler, and manged to recover the data, PHEW What Luck.

Kicked the Old Girl into Life had a few Problems with Timing on MB,A Quick google and help From Bppc Guru Stan Did Some Mods,And finally she working Lan SoundGFX, USB , Ward 3d, Wipeout,Quake II,Tycoon.

But Alas where there,s sucsess there is also hurdles.

I Turn to you guys if you can help me.

1).Im using genesis TCP ItGoes on Line No Problems, when i click offline the Miggy Freezes.Must be some thing to do with the lan card not quiet sure.

2).Also when Using AFA i Cant Start heretics any more, when its disabled Normal Miggy Os3.9 works fine.

3).Is it Possible to registrate Mui any More as their web site is no longer there.

I would be most graftful if anyone could help me out with any ifno.

Would also like to says Many Thanks to Stan the Man Stanislaw For you Never Ending  Support and Advice, Ref Power Problems and Info on the Bppc.

Nice to hear you found the golden mine again yes the upgraded BPPC is a nice beast indeed (thanks to stachu!)
Please consider joining the Blizzard PPC club over at EAB .

As for the questions:

1) You could try MiamiDX (found on Aminet) - here you can find free keyfiles
2) Afa_OS causes issues, don't use it. I have experienced the same thing with Heretic 2 myself. Just refrain from using it for now.
3) You could ask for MUI registration from Stefan Stuntz

Also have you installed the Boing Bags? http://os.amigaworld.de/index.php?lang=en&page=12
You can also take things a bit further with NEW Boing Bags http://lilliput.amiga-projects.net/start.htm
Maybe they could fix the Genesis offline -freeze problem.

          Many thanks on your quick answer, i will give MiamiDX a try do you know if it supports daytime servers when it goes on line.

Ok Afa_os is comming off can you tell me if powericons or mcp are a good option to install.

ref boingBag 3&4 have you any experience with these and are they worth it to install ref stability etc.

For daytime servers I've been using NetClock. Some configuration could be necessary.
I don't use PowerIcons atm. because I don't need it but it should work OK with your setup. Check out this post to get all icons showing for you.

Boing Bag #3 is a good update, I'm using it. It's stable. Waiting for BB #4 to finalize to test it too.

      Thanks for the info will give it a try,My Mediator is the erste version Mediator 1200,But it must have the updated mach chip otherwise the Sb128 won,t work i think.Not quiet sure.

Many Thanks Bamiga2002 for the info, after evening meal its time to make some changes, will download boing ball 3,install miamidx,and give it all a try.

Which Mediator do you have? I have an old one and I'm trying to locate software for it.

I think you can use the latest software anyway. But I have some older MediatorUP-archives on me HD if needed.

Hi All
      Finally finished everything is working had a problem with warp3d,complete install,with boing bag 3,even got all the 3dwarp demos in ppc and 68k working together, dont know how i did it but ppc games are running much faster.

Miami is installed just the clock setup to do ,ibrowse is working perfect,just waiting on answer ref mui key. but as of yet no answer sob.

Many thanks XDelusion But using all the uptodate drivers,and working fine.

No More Crashes when going offline with MiamiDX Must be a genessis thing.

Glad to know you got it working .
As for PowerIcons (PeterK's patched version) I wasn't using it for it corrupted some icons on me WB but the solution was to use a "16-bit PC" screenmode instead of the regular 16-bit one. Ofcourse with truecolor-screenmode it also corrects this problem.

PS. I don't know about MCP in its current incarnation, haven't been using it for years because I don't need it.
