Looking for MikeD
« on: November 27, 2011, 01:04:19 AM »
Okay, I figure this will be moved by the mods, so go ahead 'cause I couldn't figure out anywhere else to post it.

I'm looking for MikeD.  I offered to buy the Bodega Bay he offered here a while back.  I sent him a money order in October.  He said he received it on or about the 25th of Oct. and said he'd send it right out.

Since then, I have received nothing.  I've sent him several emails from this forum with no response.

A little searching of the address he gave me shows him to be in Staten Island, NY.

I did a little more searching and got a couple of phone numbers.  Calling them ended up with just me listening to it ring and ring and ring and ring...

So, while I hate to dime out a fellow Amigan in a public forum, I either need my money or my merchandise and it looks like I'm going to need some help getting one or the other.

Is there anyone here who is in the Staten Island area who might be willing to check the address out for me?  I'm not going to post it publicly.

Does anyone know MikeD personally who might be able to shed some light on his sudden disappearance?

Curtis

I would post his address.. Get a mob together and go knocking on his door and get the goods or money back, Somebody ripped me off like that I would not take it sitting down. I would even think its time for a road trip! crunch crunch!

According to his profile entry he hasn't been on here since last month.  I hope this information helps you.

@lost_loven
No, it's not to that stage right now.  I'm hoping it'll turn out to be something beyond his control and he'll try to make it right.

@SamuraiCrow
I'd noticed that.  Was hoping someone lived in his vicinity and would know of him and could shed some light on things.

Okay, I've run into nothing but dead ends so guess I'll have to pull out all the stops.

Here's the address I've got for Mike

Michael D'Addesa
125 Downes Avenue
Staten Island, Ny 10312

The phone numbers I've been able to glean from the internet via public property reports are:

718-356-8875 (I get no answer, only a woman saying she'll get back to me later.  No name.)

and

718-356-3852 ( Got an answer and person said they've never heard of him).

Property records show a whole slew of D'Adessa's at the above address and also a business, C-D Provisions at the same address.

My only other recourse is to send a certified/return receipt/restricted letter to the above and requesting a refund of my monies.

Other than that, I guess I can release the A.org hounds of war!

Curtis

p.s.  BTW, if anyone is any sort of negotiations with the above named individual, I would strongly suggest you not...

What do you expect us to do about it? Forward that info to the police, not here. If some dumb ass on the forum does something stupid you could get rolled up into some legal trouble. Not very bright.

I was kinda hoping some might live in the area and might be able to contact him for me.

Nothing confrontational, just knock on the door and tell him to contact me.  IF he actually lives there.  Sounds more and more like a office for a family business.
