Think of us guilt trippers as NPR fundraising reps.

If we don't ask... most might not give.

BTW, I attended 11 of 12 show (sick last year), My wife never attends (she just rolls her eyes)
But I choose to attend meeting, use my personal gear, use what little cash I have, to be involved. Because I want to!!!

If you don't want, don't.
But PLEASE don't complain because we ask. As required. We aren't rich either.
If every body came, we could just announce.

There's a difference (to me) in asking and guilting..

If you say, "Hey, come join us!  It's great fun, and you'll be helping a great cause!"  No prob..
I have considered going, even tho it's a long trip..  I figure if I can work it into a vacation with some "birding" options for my wife, we might be able to swing it..  ;-)

But, if you are saying, please don't complain when people say you will be responsible for the dying of the Amiga....

No..

I will complain about that..

And if you say "Come or you're contributing to the death of the Amiga"...
That's a guaranteed way to keep me away..

Soooo, what you are saying is.. We're not good salesmen. OK.

You know what AmiWest really needs is a great PR person.
It reads that you could do that really well.

Please consider being our PR guy. Zero pay, long hours, demands for free video
etc...

Either was my SAM 440, but every man and his dog still tells me it's "not a real Amiga"
