Cosmos Computing A2000 SCSI card problem
« on: December 18, 2006, 02:07:42 AM »
I just aquired five A2000s all of them from the poker machine industry, the problem is the SCSI cards they have in them:

http://www.amiga-hardware.com/showhardware.cgi?HARDID=1736

These cards seem to have custom odd and even roms in them that boot to a poker machine logo and either expect some kind of signal from the rest of the poker machine components or the network server, these a2000s also came with a2065 cards in them. So the machines will not boot the included hard drives and just sit there saying something like terminal offline or unavailable and displaying the logo of the poker machine company. The SCSI cards will even bypass the kickstart 2.04 early boot menu so I cant make the machine boot from a floppy at all unless I remove them entirely.

Does anybody have these cards or know anything about them? Bit of a longshot I know but its worth a try. Perhaps if the non modified cards are out there I could duplicate the odd and even rom chips and restore these cards to standard spec.
