Scart all the way. You can buy a C64 video cable to Scart cable, as with Amiga's video output. Aren't the monitor's same spec really? Just use the monitor that gives the sharpest picture on the Amiga. In my C64 days I always used a black and white tv connected via RF modulator. Scart would have been luxury to me. ;)

For the 1084s, don't use SCART for the C-64. It has the RCA connectors in one corner for Luma, Chroma, Audio. Connect your C-64 to those.

The Amiga + SCART to the 1081 is a good idea.

i buy 8-pin luma cable for c64 and for amiga 500 and 600 have cable with 3 chinch on one side and scart on other side that will go on 1081
