+1 for the Sega clones pads that Cammy mentioned.

Only thing is if you play driving games some use up on the d-pad to go forward so steering left and right on the d-pad is awkward.  I opened one up and basically soldered a wire from one of the button pads on the circuit board to the up pad on the circuit board so that the button functions as up, and I can still steer left and right.  Not sure if that's The Right Way, but 2 years later its still working.

Yeah, USB on the Amiga is awesome! You can plug in a missile launcher and control it with your joystick.

When i tried the clone megadrive pads(the 6 button pads), it ran well, but only acted as one button joystick. I couldn't get the second button to work in snow bros, but with another megadrive pad(ascii megapad) it works. Maybe it's thing of the game, but i recall that happened the same on another games.

Cammy, are the 2 buttons working ok with your pads? on all games?. seems like i will have to give it another go when i have time.
