Uncompress Mui38usr.lha
« on: September 08, 2011, 02:49:13 PM »
Hello everyone,
I am a recent user of the Amiga 1200 and planned to install MUi38usr.lha but I am not able to uncompress this file on my A1200, does anyone could help me?
Right now my A1200 has a 4G disk installed by me and boot directly from disk (workb. 3.1).
Until now I have to decompress LHA files used amiga explorer via a Null Modem Cable .. made by me  :)
If anyone can help, i appreciate.

Note: sorry for my poor English

What's the problem with uncompressing the file then?
Download this -> http://aminet.net/package/util/arc/lha
and then run it and then use "lha x MUi38usr.lha ram:" to uncompress it to ram:

IIRC you'll also need http://aminet.net/util/misc/Installer-43_3.lha to install mui.

Hi,
the problem is the following:

I made exactly what you mentioned, but gives the error message "LHA: Unknow Command".
1st I run the file lha.run ande next i execute  the command line  "lha x MUi38usr.lha ram:"
The files ( Mui38usr.lha and lha.run) are in a folder on the hard disk with name "Work", my disk is partitioned into 3 drives will have to do with it?
Thanks for the help.

Open shell.. Type work:
After that type lha e mui38usr.lha ram:

Might help if you have lha in work:
1 Amiga 1200
2 Amiga 2000
2 Amiga 500
1 Commodore 64
And alots of other stuff..

After you unpacked "lha.run" their will be a file "LHa" either in the current dir or in one just created. Locate that file and copy it to c: now typing lha anywhere in shell should work.
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

Although your help still can not uncompress the file MUI38usr.lha ... :(
What am I doing wrong?

When execute the file "lha.run" the following files are extracted:

- lha.guide
- lha_68020
- lha_68040
- lha_68K
- lha_68K.readme

Which of these copies to the C folder?

The shell command is
Code: [Select]
copy lha_68020 c:LhA
